Hot Stone Therapy
Hot Stone Therapy is a style of massage where heated stones are used with oil to massage the entire body. This gives a deep sense of relief to your nervous system and promotes blood circulation in the muscles. The overall experience is very relaxing, nurturing, and rejuvenating.
Western Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, and kneading,
to help the body improve its circulation. AKA Swedish Massage/relaxation massage. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of muscle tissue in the body. Deep tissue massage is an effective method for releasing chronic stress areas in the body. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to ensure my client stays as comfortable as possible. Keep in mind, that soreness is pretty common after the treatment but, deep tissue does not mean pain.
Reiki is a Japanese form of energy work that cleanses and balances the energy in the body. As a result, the body's natural self-healing mechanisms can strengthen, helping to establish optimum health along with a sense of well-being. During a session, I work directly with energy to leave you feeling a sense of renewal and restore the vital energy in the chakra system.
Reiki utilizes a gentle laying on of hands or hands slightly raised above the body at the chakra centers to induct the necessary energy between us.
The benefits of Reiki range from the release of habitual mental/emotional stress to alleviating chronic pain. It can also help alleviate pain from debilitating illnesses such as cancer. Hospitals around the country have incorporated Reiki for patients into their offerings.
I am also a Reiki Master Teacher and provide classes to become a Reiki practitioner.
I am a certified NMT Therapist. AKA trigger point. Neuromuscular Therapy is a system of massage techniques that were developed in England by Dr. Stanley Lief in the 1930's. It uses a holistic approach towards healing, emphasizing and stimulating the body's natural ability to heal itself. Neuromuscular therapy also works with the soft tissue in the body to enhance the function of joints and muscles, and accelerates the overall healing process by facilitating the release of endorphins. This type of therapy can help restore range of motion and improve blood flow throughout the muscle tissues.
